Caspe Catfishing - Terms & Conditions
Caspe Fishing Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to bookings with Caspe Fishing for accommodation, guided fishing and related services in Caspe, Spain. By booking with us, you agree to the terms below.
Safety & Liability
- Fishing takes place in a natural environment. River banks, deep water, weather, wildlife and fishing equipment can present hazards. Guests must follow reasonable safety instructions and take appropriate care.
- Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and should arrange appropriate travel and health insurance for their trip.
- UK visitors should check current UK government and NHS guidance on GHIC/EHIC healthcare cover before travel. A GHIC or valid EHIC is not a substitute for appropriate travel insurance.
- Alcohol should be consumed responsibly, particularly around water, boats and fishing equipment.
- Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am unless otherwise agreed.
Fishing Licences, Rules & Permissions
- Guests must hold the appropriate valid fishing licence and any other permissions required for the water being fished. Caspe Fishing can assist with arranging relevant fishing licences for guests where agreed.
- Fishing rules, permitted methods, fishing times, access restrictions and species requirements can change under current Aragón regulations and the applicable annual fishing plan. Guests must follow the rules in force at the time of the trip and any instructions given by the guide or fishery operator.
- Caspe Fishing promotes responsible fish handling and catch-and-return practices for the species targeted on our trips, subject to the current legal requirements applying to the water and species concerned.
- Fishing on check-in or check-out days is not included unless arranged before arrival.
For current licence information, see our River Ebro fishing licence guide.
Boat Hire & Equipment
- Boat operator requirement from 1 October 2026: the person hiring and operating a self-drive recreational motor boat must hold the appropriate valid boating qualification or certificate. Passengers on a guide-operated boat do not each need a boating licence. Guests using self-drive boat hire are responsible for providing evidence of the required qualification or certificate before the boat is supplied.
- Equipment supplied by Caspe Fishing must be used responsibly. Lost or damaged equipment may result in additional charges where appropriate.
Photography & Media
Photos or videos taken during a trip may be used by Caspe Fishing on its website or social channels. If you do not want images of you used for promotional purposes, please tell us in writing before or during your trip.
Health & Trip Preparation
- Bring suitable sun protection, clothing and footwear for the expected conditions.
- Bring any medication you require and appropriate personal travel essentials.
- A headtorch and spare batteries can be useful for low-light fishing sessions.
- Spain uses European-style electrical sockets, so UK visitors should bring a suitable travel adaptor.
Booking, Deposits, Balance Payments & Cancellation
- A €125 per-person deposit is required to secure a booking.
- For trips taking place from 1 January 2027 onwards, the full outstanding balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks before the booked arrival date.
- For trips taking place before 1 January 2027, the final balance must be paid on arrival or before arrival, as agreed for the booking.
- If a booking is cancelled 6 weeks or less before the booked arrival date, the customer remains liable to pay 50% of the outstanding balance.
- For cancellations made more than 6 weeks before the booked arrival date, the booking may be moved to another available date but the deposit/payment is not refunded, subject to the booking arrangements agreed with Caspe Fishing.
- No refund is given for an early departure or a missed fishing day caused by personal circumstances, weather or regulatory restrictions, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
