An iPhone 15 Pro can bring £400 or more. Even older Androids — Samsung Galaxy S21, Google Pixel 7 — are worth £80–£150 to the right buyer.
UK phone recyclers buy directly from consumers, wipe and refurbish the devices, and resell them. The prices they pay vary significantly — sometimes by £50 or more for the same phone in the same condition — which is why it pays to compare before you commit.
Compare before you sell
The biggest mistake is going straight to one recycler. musicMagpie, Mazuma, Envirofone and ur.co.uk all buy phones, but they don't all pay the same. For a popular iPhone, the gap between the best and worst offer can easily be £40–£80.

- Back up your photos and contacts
- Sign out of iCloud or your Google account — a phone still linked to your account will be rejected or revalued
- Factory reset the device
- Be honest about condition — recyclers inspect every phone on arrival and will revise their offer if it doesn't match
