Travel Documents

Fishing Licences and Permissions

From 1 October 2026, the person hiring or renting and operating a self-drive recreational motor boat must hold the appropriate valid boating qualification or certificate. Passengers on a guide-operated boat do not each need a boating licence.
Clothing
Pack for the season and fishing style. Useful categories include comfortable fishing clothing, layers, waterproof protection where appropriate, footwear, sun protection and spare dry clothing. Do not assume Spain means identical conditions every day of the year.
Fishing Tackle
